Rhodium Core AI ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Rhodium Core application and visit rhodiumcoreai.com.

Data Collection in the Application

What We DON'T Collect

The Rhodium Core desktop application:

• Does not collect any user data — none, zero, nothing
• Does not transmit data to our servers or any third party
• Does not use analytics or telemetry
• Does not track usage in any way
• Does not require an account or authentication
• Does not connect to the internet except to download AI models via Ollama

Where Your Data Lives

All your conversations and memories are stored locally on your device at:

~/.rhodiumcore/memory.json (macOS)
%APPDATA%\rhodiumcore\memory.json (Windows)

This file:

• Never leaves your device
• Is completely under your control
• Can be backed up, deleted, or modified by you at any time
• Is not encrypted by default (it's plain text JSON)

Website Data Collection

Our website does not use:

• Google Analytics or any analytics service
• Tracking pixels or cookies
• Third-party scripts (except for fonts from Google Fonts)
• Social media integrations

Cookies

We do not use cookies. The rhodiumcoreai.com website does not set any cookies or use local storage to track you.

Google Fonts

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may collect basic technical information (IP address, browser type) according to Google's Privacy Policy. This is the only third-party service we use.

Payment Information

When you purchase a license through our website:

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor)
• We do not see or store your credit card information
• We receive only: Your email address and order details from Lemon Squeezy
• Email usage: We use your email solely to send your license key and order confirmation

License Key Data

When you purchase and activate a license key:

• The key is stored locally in ~/.rhodiumcore/license.json on your device
• We track which device the key is activated on (to enforce our 1-device-per-key policy)
• We store: license key, email address, activation status, and device identifier
• This data is used solely to validate your license and prevent unauthorized use

Email Communications

We will only email you:

• Your license key after purchase
• Order confirmations and receipts
• Critical security updates (if necessary)

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt-in (which we don't currently offer).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, except:

• Payment processor: Lemon Squeezy processes payments and provides us with order details
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

Children's Privacy

Rhodium Core does not knowingly collect information from children. There is no age restriction on using the application, but we do not specifically target or market to children under 13.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data through the application, there's nothing for us to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control over your local data files.

For purchase-related data (email, license info), you have the right to:

• Request access to your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request correction of your data

Data Security

Your local data security depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Using macOS FileVault encryption (Mac) or BitLocker (Windows)
• Setting a strong device password
• Backing up your memory.json file securely

International Users

Rhodium Core AI is based in Taiwan. If you're using our service from outside Taiwan, please note that any data you provide (via purchase) will be transferred to and processed in Taiwan.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Posting a notice on our website
